MISSING AWR Mouser: Just recently one of our Mousers came up missing. I heard a cry coming from the wall. Some how he had gotten up on the top beam in the warehouse found a hole and went exploring. Well his adventure turned into a 12 hour ordeal. I could hear him but in order to find him I had to go to the warehouse next door and ask if I could try to reach him. I am sure they thought I was off my rocker, but after a few minutes, I was able to locate him above the ceiling tiles. I removed several and out come Punkin he was a little dirty, hungry and scared but other then that he survived his adventure. I don’t think he will be heading off anytime soon. However just in case I closed the hole.

I have great news! Silly the abandoned mouser cat was finally adopted to a great home in Canon City

I have decided to keep two of her kittens, Olly and Punkin. I’ll put their picture down below to introduce them.

Punkin and Olly

Some of you may have been following the story of the pregnant cat abandoned, dumped more like it, in the dumpster outside my warehouse in the heat of summer.  I adopted the momma cat temporarily until I could find her a good home, not knowing she was about to have kittens.

She had 5 of them and all now have great homes, including the two that I kept.

Here is the grand introduction to the American Wiping Rags™ family…

Punkin and Olly-the newest Mouser cats now part of the family at American Wiping Rags™.

Oscar, our original mouser, is in heaven with having kittens to play with, chase and wrestle with too.
He thinks he has died and gone to kitty play heaven.

Frankenstein was not so excited about the kittens so he got to retire from the mouser business and is now a fat and happy house cat, guarding my home.

This past August my neighbors came into my warehouse to tell me they found some kittens thrown away in the big trash can.  They didn’t know what to do so I told to get them out and bring them into the shop.  I will take care of them and find homes for them.  A beautiful adult female calico, one orange and white male kitten, one black & white male, and another female calico kitten, looked just like her mom. I knew this because another cat lover told me that if a cat has more than two colors more than likely it will be a female.  I did not know that.  I thought back with all my cats and she was right.  She also mentioned to me it’s very rare to have a male calico. Anyway, just a little trivia for you.

Dehydrated and scared they all took off under the pallets of rags.  I didn’t see them for a few days, but I knew they would come out when they felt more comfortable.  After a few days they came out.  They were so cute and very scared. They lived here in the warehouse for few weeks till I found good homes for them.

And the big surprise that came after Silly had been here a few short weeks, she started getting fat…

Guess what she was already pregnant! Maybe that’s why they decided to throw her away. How terrible is that?!!!
